I love this place. We come every year. It's a great escape. There's an outhouse and showers up at the office. They even let us rent inner tubes for the weekend. Not too far from home either.
Excellent out the way camping experience next to the river!
We love this campground!!! :) We've been bringing our family here every year for 15 years. I laugh at the other reviews about port-a-potties and better showers. We also do a 2 day canoe/camping trip and there are no bathrooms/port-a-potties on that! I think it's nice to have the water near the camp sites and we have never had a problem with the port-a-potties being gross. Steve & Katy are great people, and always reply quickly to my emails.
Have better bathrooms and more people will come
We went camping here a few weekends ago. It was a beautiful campground. The sites are wooded and far enough away from each other. The downfall was that the shower/toilets were very primitive. I was hoping for sinks to wash my face and brush my teeth, but I never found any. My dog also got 3 ticks.
